Building roads, skills and lasting works.

Every district road tells the same story: it lasts only as long as it can shed water. This project began with that idea. Rather than patching the surface, Levelfield took on the whole road section, combining earthworks and grading to reshape the road with drainage construction to carry water away from it.

On site, the work follows a steady sequence. The road bed is cut and shaped, graded to the right levels, and the drains are built alongside so that rain has somewhere to go other than the carriageway. Each stage prepares the ground for the next, and each one makes the road stronger.

Today the works are about 65% complete and still moving forward, with a road taking shape that is being built to last.

Electricity only changes lives once it arrives, and that depends on power lines being built properly. This project is the construction of a power transmission line along a transmission corridor, carried out from the first foundation to the last stretch of line.

The work follows the logic of the line itself. Foundations are laid first, giving every tower a firm base. The towers are then erected one after another along the corridor, and finally the lines are strung between them, connecting the whole route into one working line.

The works are about 40% complete, with crews continuing along the corridor, one tower at a time.

Good roads need good operators. This programme exists to train and assess the plant operators who run road works machinery, and it is delivered under the Skilling Uganda programme.

Trainees learn the machines they will work on and are then assessed, so that contractors can trust the people they put on their equipment. It is practical work, built around the plant that road projects depend on, and it gives each operator a skill they can carry into their working life.

The programme is about 80% complete, with operators moving closer to the end of their training and assessment.

A school is more than walls and a roof; it is where learning gets going. This project delivered classroom blocks together with an administration block, built to be handed over ready for use.

Our teams took the work from the ground up, through the structure and on to the finishing, so that the classrooms and the administration block came together as one complete set of buildings.

The project is complete and has been handed over to the client, and the buildings are now ready to do what they were built for.

Big projects stand or fall on having the right machines in the right place. In this assignment, Levelfield supplied heavy equipment for hire, excavators and graders, and took care of moving it where it was needed.

Beyond the machines themselves, we transported the equipment and the construction materials to site, so the client could start work without having to organise haulage separately.

The assignment is complete. The equipment and materials were delivered to site and the client had what it needed to get on with the job.

Farmland is only productive when it has water and can be reached. This project set out to bring land back into use through reclamation, irrigation channels and access tracks.

The works reclaimed the land first, then cut the irrigation channels to bring water across it, and laid access tracks so that people and vehicles can get in and out.

The project is complete, and the farmland is ready to be worked.
